Truth and Beliefs

Jim Sherman LCSW

“Thoughts that we bundle and hold tightly become beliefs. Beliefs held tightly become the truth.  Does the absolute truth exist or is it based on our perceptions? We have the tendency to supports our beliefs/truths and discount evidence that does not support our point of view.  What if we stayed in the unknown of not knowing what it is? Often, a greater place of growth can occur when we are open to not hold on in our beliefs/truths so tightly. Sometimes, it’s the not knowing that we find knowing.”
